The last of the 2019 conference and tradeshow season is well underway. Soon, our conference planners will be focused on the upcoming 2020 conference season. As we set our sights to next year’s conferences and tradeshows, we will take a closer look at transformative conference design trends in our next Industry Insights Webinar, Transforming the Conference Experience. 

 

 

 

Session Objectives:   

Join Mae Ibe, Director of Conference & Tradeshow Services and Lindsay Perez, Assistant Manager, Program Management, as they explore various topics including the wellness movement, experiential conference design, micro-sessions vs traditional breakouts, the new wave of corporate social responsibility, and personalizing the conference experience.

Presenter(s) Bio:

Mae Ibe, CMP, Director, Conference and Tradeshow Division (M&IW)

Mae has been in the meetings industry for more than 25 years with a background in sales, marketing, event management, convention services, hotel management and contract negotiations. She is responsible for overseeing the Conference & Tradeshow Division, including; sales, client relations, project management and staff supervision.

Prior to joining M&IW, Mae was employed as the Director of Convention Sales for the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau in Appleton, Wisconsin, where she worked with association groups from 10-3,000 people.  She handled a number of event management details to include; obtaining legal permits, housing, registration, marketing, contract negotiations, transportation and emergency planning.  She also has over eight years of hotel sales, catering and operation experience.

Mae earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2006. In addition, Mae is a past President of Meeting Professionals International – Wisconsin Chapter (MPI-WI) and was recognized by her industry peers as the “2012 Hall of Fame inductee”, “2005 Supplier of the Year”, and received the “2005 President’s Award”. 

 

Lindsay Perez, Associate Manager, Program Management, Conference & Tradeshow Division (M&IW)

Lindsay has worked with Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc. for over 7 years in the areas of attendee management, meeting logistics, web site development and sourcing. She currently manages one of the largest tradeshows planned by Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc. and has experience with corporate programs, particularly Pharmaceutical meetings, ranging from 10 – 250 people.  In addition to meeting logistics, Lindsay was also placed internally for two corporate clients and worked as a contractor on behalf of M&IW.  Lindsay is a graduate of Carthage College and, prior to being employed at M&IW, worked in the non-profit sector of Milwaukee and Waukesha planning workshops and events to help develop and grow organizations and their boards alike.  She was also a speaker at the 2007 DECA Central Region Leadership Conference held in Indianapolis in which she presented on Event Management/Planning.
