Connie Nau, CMP, CRP, Sr. Director, Recruiting & Training - M&IW

Connie has served the meetings industry for over 25 years in various roles.  She earned both her Certified Meeting Professional designation (1999) from the Convention Industry Council, as well as her Certified Return on Investment Professional designation, focus on meetings (2010) from the ROI Institute.  While working for a Fortune 100 insurance company, she successfully implemented a Strategic Meetings Management Program (SMMP). 

Throughout her career she has received several awards for her partnership, advocacy and growth of the meeting industry. 

Bruce McIndoe, Founder and Chief Evangelist of WorldAware

Bruce is a recognized leader in the risk management, travel, and intelligence industries. A WorldAware founder, Bruce has been the key contributor to the company’s strategic growth, securing its position as a leader in business resiliency with the development of the Worldcue® Global Control Center. Prior to joining WorldAware, Bruce was founder and CEO of CSSI, an Inc. 500 and four-time Washington Technology FAST 50 company that developed software for the intelligence community. He has also served as a lead architect on intelligence programs for the US government.

He is a trustee of Allegheny College, where he received a BS in Physics, and holds a MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Gene Butler, Area Director, Global Safety & Security - Marriott International

Gene is currently an Area Director of Global Safety & Security, Marriott International supporting 138 Marriott Managed Hotels throughout the US and Canada. A Graduate of Florida State University, Gene has more than 35 years of hospitality experience holding multiple Operational and Corporate Roles. He is a Certified Lodging Security Director and active member of ASIS International and the American Society Safety of Engineers.

With a wide range of experience preparing for High Security Events such as the Olympics, NATO, G8, DNC & RNC Conventions along with countless Celebrity and Dignitary visits, Gene is a returning speaker to Corporate and University Venues.
